Basic Egg Roll

Ingredients

  • Eggs 6 (5 large eggs)
  • Carrot 1/5 cup (20g)
  • Scallions 1/2 cup (30g)
  • Flower Salt (Kkotsogeum) 1/6 tbsp (2g)
  • Granulated Sugar (Hwangseoltang) A pinch
  • Cooking Oil 3 tbsp (21g)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Vegetables
Finely chop the carrot and scallions. The smaller the vegetables, the prettier and smoother the texture of the egg roll will be.

2. Make the Egg Mixture
Crack 6 eggs into a large bowl, add a pinch of flower salt and granulated sugar. The sugar enhances the flavor of the eggs and softens the saltiness. Whisk well to thoroughly combine the eggs.

3. Combine Egg Mixture and Vegetables
Add the chopped carrots and scallions to the egg mixture and mix thoroughly. Ensure the vegetables are evenly distributed.

4. Cook the Egg Roll
Coat a pan with cooking oil and preheat over medium-low heat. Pour about half of the egg mixture into the pan and cook until the top is slightly set. Roll up the egg roll from the edges.

5. Repeat Rolling
Push the egg roll towards the front of the pan, add a little more egg mixture, and repeat the rolling process. Continue until all the egg mixture is used.

6. Completion

Frozen Dumpling Egg Roll

Ingredients

  • Eggs 6 (5 large eggs)
  • Frozen Seafood Mandu (Dumplings) 5
  • Flower Salt (Kkotsogeum) A pinch
  • Granulated Sugar (Hwangseoltang) A pinch
  • Cooking Oil 3 tbsp (21g)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dumplings
Finely chop 5 frozen seafood dumplings with scissors. Chop them into appropriately sized pieces so that the dumpling filling mixes well with the eggs.

2. Make the Egg Mixture
Crack 6 eggs into a bowl and add a pinch of flower salt and granulated sugar. Mix well. The sugar complements the savory dumplings and enhances the flavor.

3. Combine Eggs and Dumplings
Add the chopped dumplings to the egg mixture and mix thoroughly. Make sure the dumpling filling is evenly distributed in the egg mixture.

4. Cook the Egg Roll
Coat a pan with cooking oil and cook over medium-low heat, adding the egg mixture little by little. Just like a regular egg roll, roll it up slowly once the top is slightly set.

5. Repeat Rolling
Continue adding the remaining egg mixture to the pan and roll up the egg roll in the same manner.
