Street Toast


Ingredients (per serving)

  • Bread: 2 slices
  • Butter or Margarine: 15g
  • Sugar: 5g
  • Eggs: 2
  • Green Onion: 20g (chopped)
  • Carrot: 10g (chopped)
  • Cabbage: 30g (shredded)
  • Ham or Sausage: 40g
  • Cheese: 15g
  • Salt: 1g
  • Pepper: 1g

Instructions

1. Prepare the Filling

1. Finely chop the green onion, carrot, and cabbage.
2. Crack the eggs into a bowl and mix with the chopped vegetables, salt, and pepper.

2. Cook the Filling

1. Heat cooking oil or butter (5g) in a pan and gently cook the egg mixture.
2. Separately, cook the ham or sausage until browned.

3. Assemble the Toast

1. Spread butter (5g) on one side of a slice of bread.
2. Place the bread in the pan and layer the cooked egg mixture, ham, and cheese on top.
3. Cover with the remaining slice of bread.

4. Cook the Toast

1. Add the remaining butter (5g) to the pan and cook the toast until both sides are golden brown.
2. Press down on the toast to melt the cheese.

5. Finish and Serve

1. Remove the toast from the pan and sprinkle with sugar (5g).
2. Cut diagonally and serve warm.
