1. Prepare the Ingredients
1. Finely slice the green onions and cheongyang chili pepperto 0.3cm thickness.
2. Cut the tofu in half, then slice it into even pieces approximately 1cm thick.

1. Prepare a wide, shallow pan and arrange the sliced tofu in a single layer.
2. Pour in **1 cup (180ml) of water** so that the tofu is about halfway submerged.
3. Add Seasoning and Simmer
1. Add 1 tbsp shrimp paste, 2 tbsp coarse gochugaru, 2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1/3 tbsp yellow sugar, 1/2 tbsp minced garlic, a pinch of minced ginger, cheongyang chili pepper, and green onions to the pan.
2. Adjust the heat so that the simmering sauce lightly covers the tofu.
4. Finish with Perilla Oil
1. When the sauce has reduced by about half, add 1 tbsp of perilla oil to enhance the flavor.
2. Continue simmering until the sauce thickens, then turn off the heat and serve.
