A delicious mussel soup with a refreshing and clean broth! Try making it at home easily.


[ Ingredients ]

  • Mussels: 700g
  • Onion: 1 (150g)
  • Green Onion: 1 (70g)
  • Chili pepper: 3 (18g)
  • Red Chili pepper: 1 (10g)
  • Green pepper: 1 (15g)
  • Water: 1.5L
  • Salt: 1 tbsp (10g)
  • Vinegar: 2 tbsp (20g)

[ Instructions ]

1. Prepare the mussels

  • Remove the byssus threads from the mussels and clean them thoroughly.
  • Rinse several times under running water to remove sand and impurities.

2. Prepare the vegetables

  • Cut half of the green onions into small pieces, and cut the other half lengthwise.
  • Halve the chili peppers and remove the seeds. Slice the green and red peppers thinly.
  • Cut the onion into large 1/4 pieces.

3. Make the broth

1. In a large pot, add water (1.5L), onion, chili pepper, and lengthwise-cut green onions. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
2. Boil for about 10 minutes to extract the flavor of the vegetables, then remove all the solids.

4. Cook the mussels

1. Add the cleaned mussels to the boiling broth.
2. Boil over high heat for about 5 minutes until the mussels open.

5. Season

  • Season with salt.
  • Add green pepper, red pepper, and finely chopped green onions, and simmer.

6. Finish

  • Add vinegar to taste for a refreshing flavor.
  • Enjoy the finished mussel soup while it's hot.
